Conjunctions
After deeply exploring stone-water interfaces (and many allegorical contexts), I found myself in a quarry without much water. Inspiration hit that exploration of the "quarry-ness" of a place has to do with there being not just one cliff wall, or even two parallel cliff walls (as may be found in nature), but rather the junctions of perpendicular walls. In block removal, there becomes the added conceptual and visual benefits of also having a seamless "floor."
A whole sub-series was born, and a great deal of digging, unearthing, and cleaning quarry floors began. The photographic archaeologist continues...
